Our Hotel's Food Allergy Policy
Hotel Nikko Osaka employs the following measures to ensure that our guests can fully enjoy their meals in our restaurants and banquet halls with peace of mind.
1. The Basic Approach to Accommodate Food Allergies at Our Hotel
The kitchens of our hotel's restaurants and banquet halls handle food and ingredients that contain allergens such as wheat, eggs, milk, walnuts, shrimp, crab, buckwheat, and peanuts, which are listed as specific allergenic ingredients, in their daily cooking procedures, and use the same kitchen tools and cooking oil in the preparation of meals. While our eating utensils and kitchen tools are thoroughly washed, since the same cleaning equipment is used, trace amounts of allergenic substances may be introduced into the food we prepare owing to the environment of the facilities in our kitchens. Therefore, we would like to notify guests that our hotel is unable to provide food guaranteed to be completely free of allergens.
2. Information for Guests with Food Allergies
At our restaurant facilities that serve buffet-style cuisine and banquet halls, we will provide information upon prior request on any specific allergenic ingredients contained in the food we plan to serve. On the day itself, we will prepare the dishes for you to choose from based on the information we provide you in advance.
Similarly, restaurant facilities and banquet halls serving food other than buffet-style dishes will provide information ahead of time regarding the specific allergenic ingredients contained in the food we plan to serve. Upon prior request, we will be happy to discuss the ingredients of our dishes if there is anything unsuitable in what we plan to serve.
*We indicate dishes containing the following allergens on the menu: Wheat, Egg, Milk, Walnut, Shrimp, Crab, Buckwheat, Peanut.
Please note we cannot guarantee 100% allergen-free environment, as we do not use separate dishes and kitchen equipment for food containing above allergens.
Please also note that other allergic ingredients may be present in the kitchen.
For further information, please feel free to ask our staff.
*We kindly request that our guests fill out the allergy check sheet in advance as needed.
*In the event of allergic symptoms arising as a result of contamination, etc., we may have no choice but to decline guests, in the interest of prioritizing their health and well-being.
3. Information to be Disclosed to Our Hotel by the Guest
